It’s one more way we offer truly integrative, whole-person care under one roof.

What to Expect from Psychological Testing in Memphis

Good psychological testing is more than a single test. It is a structured process that looks at how your child thinks, learns, feels, and behaves, so that families and care teams have a clear picture of your child’s strengths and needs. Evaluations often combine a conversation about history and concerns, one-on-one time with your child, standardized assessments, and careful observation. Afterward, the results are summarized in a written report with recommendations for next steps at home, at school, and in treatment.

  • Strength-based, family-centered reports, typically within two weeks of testing
  • Care for patients from age 1 through high school graduation

Signs Your Child or Teen May Benefit from an Evaluation

✓Ongoing difficulty with attention, focus, or impulse control at home or school
✓Delays or differences in social skills, communication, or play
✓Strong reactions to changes in routine, sounds, or textures
✓Persistent worry, sadness, irritability, or mood swings that interfere with daily life
✓Struggles with reading, writing, or math that do not match your child’s effort or ability
✓Questions about whether an earlier diagnosis still fits

These signs do not mean something is wrong, and every child develops differently. If you are unsure, a conversation with your CCFP provider or a call to our Memphis office is a good first step.
